Business Council Brings U.S. Airport Delegation to Saudi Arabia
The Council led a delegation of 11 companies and 3 U.S. airport directors to Saudi Arabia for an Airport Management, Construction, and Modernization Mission from December 7-12, 2019. The directors, led by Spencer Dickerson, Senior Executive Vice President of Global Operations at the American Association of Airport Executives, included John Selden from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Sean Donohue from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and Lance Lyttle from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Delegation companies focused on a number of industries, including airport management software, construction, architecture, security, training, project management, HVAC, spare parts, consulting, and much more.
The Council arranged meetings with the leadership and department heads of GACA, the Minister of Transport, DACO (Dammam Airports Company), RAC (Riyadh Airports Company), Jeddah Airports Company, NEOM, SAGIA, Red Sea Development Company, Saudi Aramco, Saudia, Jeddah Islamic Port, Saudi Civil Aviation Holding Company, and many private companies at the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce, Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, and Jeddah Chamber of Commerce. Delegates received a briefing from the Consul General and staff from the S. Consulate in Dammam and a reception at the Quincy House in Riyadh hosted by Ambassador John Abizaid.
