About Carmen Haddad

Carmen Haddad was appointed CEO of Citi Saudi Arabia in January 2017. Prior to that, she had the role of CCO of Qatar since November 2013. Carmen heads the Gulf, Egypt & Levant team in Citi Private Bank, Middle East region. In addition, she leads the Family Office that serves Citi’s largest Middle East shareholder with primarily focus on corporate finance, direct investments, capital markets and coordination within Citi and across various financial institutions. Carmen joined Citi Private Bank (CPB) in 2000 and has held several senior management roles during her career. Prior to Citi, Carmen was in sales and trading with Lehman brothers in London until April 1997 & subsequently, joined Merrill Lynch until January 2000 focusing on US Equity trading, Alternative Investments & brokerage services. Carmen started her career at JP Morgan Chase in Asset Management as part of Portfolio Strategy Group which managed globally diversified, equity specific, hedged mandates for Institutional Investors in Europe.Carmen graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts from the University of Richmond. In June 2013 Carmen was appointed Co- Chair of Citi Women Network for the UAE and is a Regional Board member of “Injaz Al Arab”. She is also an eight-time winner & Hall of Fame member of CPB Chairman’s Council. Carmen is Iraqi / German, has one son and is currently based with her husband in Dubai.
