U.S.-Saudi Executive Breakfast Highlights Technology and Innovation Partnerships & Opportunities
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – May 23, 2019 – The U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council – in collaboration with The Saudi Technology Development and Investment Company (TAQNIA), Indiana Innovation Institute (IN3) and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) – held an executive roundtable discussion with Indiana based companies in Indianapolis, IN on Technology and Innovation opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
The session’s keynote speakers, Mr. Fahad AlHussain, CEO at TAQNIA International, presented partnership and investment opportunities in the company’s six focus sectors, namely renewables, ICT, security and defense, life science and health.
David Roberts, Chief Innovation Officer at IEDC highlighted the economic diversification of Indiana particularly in Advanced Manufacturing, Aerospace, Aviation & Defense, Logistics and Technology.
Mr. Roberts emphasized that Indiana hosts over 950 foreign owned business establishments, 6,420 jobs were created by Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and how Indiana is ranked #2 in the United States for Infrastructure, #1 for Best Business Regulatory Environment and #5 Nationally for Business.
Over 30 diversified, large and medium-sized U.S. companies attended the session, including notable members of the Business Council and non-members operating within a wide spectrum of sectors, including defense, cybersecurity, aerospace, renewables, and healthcare, amongst others. The event’s sidelines offered networking opportunities in addition to one-on-one meetings.
The roundtable is part of the annual series of networking activities that the Business Council hosts both in the U.S. and Saudi Arabia to highlight investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia and facilitate partnerships between U.S. and Saudi companies.
