USSABC Holds Saudi Employment Visa Webinar
On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) hosted a webinar on Saudi Employment visa procedures. Approximately 35 participants from USSABC member and non-member companies participated in the program.
Ms. Sahar Nadri, the Program Manager of Visa Services at the USSABC, spoke at length about the requirements necessary to obtain an Employment visa to Saudi Arabia. This type of visa is used for individuals who plan to work in Saudi Arabia for more than 6 consecutive months. Applicants for this service must be U.S. citizens or individuals who hold a green card or legal status in the U.S. The process to obtain a Saudi Employment visa is more complex than the one related to Commerce (Business) visas.
Ms. Nadri covered a wide range of topics including: paperwork certification, authorization, and notarization; supporting documents, degrees, and experience; and circumstances leading to the rejection of the application. She spoke at great length detailing who should complete certain forms, necessary consistencies in the application, and the types of employees eligible to receive a Saudi Employment visa. Particular focus was placed on requirements regarding college degrees and work experience.
Following the presentation, Ms. Nadri answered questions that covered topics such as the relationship between college degrees and job titles, the procedure to convert the Saudi Employment visa into a Residency permit, and requirements for training certificates.
The USSABC is a certified agent by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Consulates, and the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the U.S. to provide the Enjaz and process applications. This enables the USSABC to expedite and process Saudi Employment visa applications for member and non-member companies. Ms. Nadri has over 25 years of experience facilitating a variety of visas to Saudi Arabia.
