USSBC Congratulates H.R.H. Princess Reema bint Bandar for International Olympics Committee Membership Nomination
H.R.H. Princess Reema bint Bandar, Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the U.S. and friend of the Business Council, has been nominated for membership for the International Olympic Committee (IOC). In addition to her role as Ambassador to the U.S., Princess Reema was appointed as President of the Mass Participation Federation in 2017, which was established by the General Sports Authority to increase participation in sports, and as Head of the Saudi Special Olympics Federation in 2019.
The five nominations by the IOC Executive Board, which include former President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Olympic Gold Medalist María Caridad Colón from Cuba, Vice President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee Battushig Batbold, and World Athletics President Sebastian Coe from United Kingdom, will be submitted and approved in their next IOC virtual session, which will be held on July 17.
